Who we are
This tool is operated by Illucrum LLC, 5900 Balcones Drive 21473, Austin, TX 78731-4257, United States. For anything in this policy, write to szymon.kokot@illucrum.com. Illucrum LLC is the data controller for personal data described here.
This policy covers the scraper at scraper.illucrum.com only.
The main website, the blog and our audit work are covered by the
Illucrum privacy policy.
The short version
- You do not need an account and we do not ask for your name or email.
- The URLs you type are sent to our relay so the pages can be fetched. The relay makes the request and returns the HTML. It writes nothing to a database or a log file of ours.
- Everything after that, parsing, counting, the tables, the CSVs; happens in your browser. The page content and your results are never sent to us.
The URLs you enter
A browser cannot read a page on another domain. To fetch a page, its address has to reach a server. Ours is a small Cloudflare Worker on our own domain: it receives one URL at a time, makes one request to that address, and passes the HTML back to your browser.
We do not store those URLs. The Worker has no database, no key-value store, no analytics binding and no log export attached to it. Cloudflare operates the network the Worker runs on and processes each request as infrastructure, including your IP address, for delivery, abuse prevention and security, under its own privacy policy. We do not have a per-request log of who scraped what, and we could not produce one if asked.
One thing to be aware of: the site you scrap will see the request. It arrives from our relay's IP address, not yours, but it appears in that site's own server logs like any other visit.
What never leaves your browser
The HTML comes back to your machine and is parsed there. Titles, headings, word counts, links, images, structured data and every table on the page are produced locally. Each CSV is assembled in your browser and handed straight to your downloads folder. No file is generated or kept on a server, and nothing you scrap is transmitted to us.
The tool keeps your results only in the tab's memory. Close the tab and they are gone — download the CSVs first if you want to keep them.
What we do not do
- No account, no sign-up, no email capture.
- No advertising or conversion pixels on this page.
- No profiling and no automated decision-making.
- No selling or sharing of personal data. Ever, for any price.
- No storage of your scrap results on our side, in any form.
Why we are allowed to process what we process
For visitors in the UK and the EEA, the legal bases under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR are:
- Running the relay — legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): providing a tool you have asked to use, and keeping it available and free of abuse.
- Answering an email you send us — legitimate interests, or steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
How long anything is kept
- URLs you enter and pages fetched through the relay: not kept.
- Scrap results and CSVs: not kept, and never received by us.
- Emails you send us: for as long as needed to deal with them, and up to 36 months afterwards.
Where data goes
Illucrum LLC is based in the United States, and Cloudflare and Google both operate globally. Where personal data of UK or EEA visitors is transferred outside those regions, it is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses and, where the provider is certified, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to processing, to portability, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California and other US states with privacy statutes have comparable rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.
Ask by emailing szymon.kokot@illucrum.com. We answer within one calendar month. Be aware that because this tool keeps nothing and asks for nothing, there is usually no record of you for us to find — the honest answer to most requests about this page is that we hold nothing.
If you are in the UK or the EEA and you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority. We would rather you told us first.
Children
This is a professional tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be flagged on the tool page rather than slipped in quietly.
